Pierre Michaud's land in Kamouraska

Pierre Michaud (around 1637-around 1702) and Marie Asselin (1651-1729) first lived in the Quebec region then Île-aux-Oies and Île-aux-Grues to finally settle in the seigniory of Kamouraska around 1692. A few years later, on June 30, 1695, they were granted land that they left as an inheritance. They are among the first concessionaires of this seigniory.

Using a professional drone, Denis Michaud (member 209) graciously offered the association an overview of the land where ancestor Pierre Michaud (1637-1992) lived during the last seven years of his life.

On music by the famous pianist Ludovico Einaudi played on the piano by Stéphanie Michaud (member 1655), this video transports us as the crow flies to the very place of Pierre's last property, showing us the magnificent landscape of this beautiful Kamouraska region.
